The Holy Dip

This shot was taken when I was visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, India. The Golden Temple is a famous pilgrimage place for Sikhs in India and all over the world. It is also known as the Hari Mandir, meaning the Temple of God. This shot speaks about the affectionate relationship shared between a father, son and the God. The father is helping the son out of the water, after taking a holy dip, a religious ritual, performed to clean ones body and soul.
